Moving from your 20s to your 30s can be an exciting and stressful time. From being a father to owning a house, to career ambitions and noticing that your body might not feel as young as it used to. The male body begins to change, your muscles may start to deteriorate faster, your stamina may decrease, and your metabolism may slow.

Here are a few health tips for maintaining your health in your 30s:

Maintain Your Healthy Diet

In your 20s, you can probably eat and drink whatever you want without much impact on your health. This may not hold for your 30s. As your metabolism decreases, fatty foods may have a more significant impact on your overall health.

Try to lower your intake of sugary drinks and simple carbohydrates, And instead try increasing your whole grains, vegetables, and lean proteins intake.

Start consuming fruits & vegetables, and drink plenty of water. Avoid junk food and processed food, this can be harmful in the long run and hamper hormone levels in the body. A nutritional food would help in ensuring not just strong reproductive health, but also overall health.

Get Enough Sleep

On average adults need 7 to 8 hours of quality sleep every night. Getting sufficient sleep can provide health benefits, including fewer illnesses, the ability to maintain a healthy weight, and also lower risk of high blood pressure and diabetes.

Start Exercising

Not only women but men can also lose bone, flexibility, and muscle mass as they age. If you do not live an active lifestyle, this process might start even earlier. Since both muscles and connective tissues can shorten, it's important to develop a habit of stretching, light exercise, or Yoga.

Take Care Of Your Mental Health

Stress or anxiety might cause infertility and decrease the sense of sexual satisfaction.

You can reduce your stress and anxiety by doing regular meditation, balancing your work life, and interpersonal relationships, regular exercise, and good eating and sleeping habits.

Quit Smoking

Men are at higher risk of developing oral and throat cancer, as well as gum diseases, independent of substance use. regularly smoking cigarettes has a massive correlation with lung cancer and the risk of heart disease and stroke.

Not smoking, or quitting can reduce coughing and shortness of breath, reduce the risk of heart disease and certain cancers, and improve health and life expectancy.

Male Hormones (Testosterone)

Testosterone levels begin to decline by about 1% every year in men aged over 30. Studies have seen that every 1 in 4 men over the age of 30 suffers from low testosterone.

Symptoms of testosterone deficiency include the following:

  • Lethargy
  • Loss of sex drive
  • Depression
  • Insomnia
  • Fewer nocturnal erections
  • Decreased motivation or self-confidence
  • Reduced strength

Some of these symptoms might be a natural result of aging, in addition to the outward symptoms, low testosterone has also been linked to an increased risk of prostate cancer, heart disease, and even premature death.

With some lifestyle changes, healthy nutrition like Eating certain foods which include ginger, fatty fish, and vegetables, and also natural ayurvedic herbs like Shilajit, Shwet musli, Kaucha, Gokshura, Shatavari, etc might help you in regulating testosterone levels.
